As I stated previously, I'm more fond of the Rebs (CS) headwear which in most cases consisted of civilian hats and the popular "beehive" or "beegum" hats which, as a historical note, it should be mentioned that these were turned up in the brim rather than allowed to slump into the "hillbilly" style.

I was always more in favor of the un-uniforms of thrown-together, rag-tag Johnny Reb. This could just as easily be a photo of a 70s folk rock band (CSNY?).
